9-Year-Old Boy Killed In A Pedestrian Crash In Liberty County (Liberty County, TX)

A tragic incident in Liberty County resulted in the death of a 9-year-old boy after a swing set tipped over while he and other children were playing on it. The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office reported that the accident occurred on Saturday in the 100 block of CR 5263B, situated south of the Plum Grove community.

The boy was part of a family gathering where children were playing on the swing set attached to an A-frame structure using chains. As the children were playing, the A-frame began to tip over. Despite attempting to move out of harm’s way, the boy was struck in the head by the corner of the structure.

Family members immediately administered CPR in an attempt to save him, but tragically, the child succumbed to his injuries after the accident.
