According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles in Sonora claimed the life of an 89-year-old. The officials reported that two vehicles were involved in the collision. 

Roughly at 4:10 p.m., an 89-year-old driving a 1992 Toyota pickup southbound collided with a 2006 GMC that was driven by a 67-year-old at the intersection of Black Oak Road and Tuolumne Road. The 89-year-old Toyota driver was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
