The Van Alstyne Police Department has identified the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle on Friday as 86-year-old Ron Fejeran of Van Alstyne. The tragic pedestrian accident occurred around 6 a.m. in the 1100 block of South Waco Street.
Despite first responders administering aid, Fejeran was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported that Fejeran was attempting to cross the street when the collision occurred.
The investigation into the fatal crash remains active as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. Updates on the investigation will be provided as more information becomes available.
