The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Cle Elum on Sunday night. The accident occurred on State Route 903, between Cle Elum and Roslyn at around 10:35 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the collision. The cars were headed down the highway in opposite directions and they crashed into each other at milepost 4 near the Cle Elum city limits.
The driver of one of the vehicles was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
