On Sunday, 86-year-old Frederick Girard was killed while 86-year-old Wilma Girard sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision near Bentley Road.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place shortly before 4 p.m. near Kemper Road. The early reports indicated that Frederick and Wilma were riding in a 2007 Toyota Camry that was hit by a 2003 Chevy pickup while they were taking a left turn. The driver of the pickup truck, 33-year-old Patrick Davis was with his two children, a three-year-old and a five-month-old at the time of the collision.
Frederick succumbed to their injuries at the crash scene. Emergency crews airlifted Wilma to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. Officers arrested Davis for DUI after the accident. Davis and his children remained uninjured. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing.
