85-Year-Old Maria Socorro Nunez Rodriguez Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Redmond (Redmond, WA)

A tragic pedestrian accident unfolded in Redmond as an 85-year-old woman, identified as Maria Socorro Nunez Rodriguez, lost her life. This was after being struck by a pickup truck on SW Canal Blvd. The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

Rodriguez was attempting to cross SW Canal when she was hit by a southbound Ford pickup driven by a 45-year-old Bend man. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Rodriguez was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Southwest Canal Blvd. was closed for approximately three hours as Oregon State Police assisted with the investigation. The fatal crash is under active investigation by Redmond police.
