85-Year-Old Gerald M. Salzman Killed In A Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash In Bellingham (Bellingham, WA)

According to the Bellingham Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday in Bellingham. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 100 block of North Samish Way. A man was walking across the street when he was struck by a moving vehicle.

The pedestrian was identified as 85-year-old Gerald M Salzman. Salzman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The driver explained that it was too dark for him to see the pedestrian walking on the roadway.

The involvement of alcohol or drugs in the wreck has been ruled out. The crash continues to be investigated by the BPD.
