According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported in Rancho San Diego. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the multi-vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at Cuyamaca College Drive West and Jamacha Road. The deceased person was identified as 84-year-old Zohair Potros.
Potros was traveling in a black Nissan when his vehicle was struck by a black Honda while making a left turn. Subsequently, the Honda also collided with a Tesla Sedan.
Potros was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Further information pertaining to the collision is pending release.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP. There are no other details available at this time.
