According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian accident that occurred in Petaluma resulted in the death of an 84-year-old man. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Roger MacMillan.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., a Land Rover traveling westbound on Skillman Lane struck MacMillan, who was also walking on the same lane. 84-year-old Roger MacMillan was declared dead immediately, according to the authorities.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
