According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Houston at around 4:30 a.m. The crash happened in the westbound lanes of I-10 at Thompson on Tuesday.
According to the investigators, an unknown vehicle and an 84-year-old were involved in the collision. The driver was traveling westbound at a high speed and collided with the pedestrian.
The officials stated that an 84-year-old man suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Houston Police Department did not reveal the name of the unknown deceased person.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated at this time. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
