The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle collision in Mojave that claimed the life of an 84-year-old on Friday.
Roughly at 3:32 p.m., a 2018 Mitsubishi Sedan driven by 53-year-old Sherry Marie Adams southbound on SR-14 collided with an Infiniti Sedan driven by 53-year-old Nathan Reyes while attempting to make a turn. An 84-year-old male passenger in the Mitsubishi was fatally injured and was declared dead at the scene.
He was found to have not been wearing a seatbelt. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated.
