An 84-year-old woman, Jean Flynn, lost her life in a crash on Texas Highway 78 in Wylie. The multi-vehicle accident occurred around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 78 and Eubanks Lane. The collision involved two vehicles with three occupants.
The investigation revealed that a silver Honda CRV was travelling westbound on 78. It was struck by a silver Dodge Ram pulling a trailer heading eastbound on 78 when the Honda attempted to turn south onto Eubanks Lane.
Jean Flynn, a passenger in the Honda CRV, was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The survivors were attended to by Wylie Fire and Rescue and transported to regional hospitals. The Wylie Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team is investigating the fatal crash.
