83-year-old woman dead after a two-vehicle collision near Burlington (Burlington, WA)

On Sunday afternoon, an 83-year-old woman lost her life following a traffic collision in Burlington.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place on State Route 20 and Gardner Road. The early reports showed that the Burlington woman ran a stop sign on Gardner Road and got struck by a vehicle traveling along SR-20.

The woman succumbed to her injuries after the accident. It is unknown if the woman died at the scene or at a hospital. Both lanes of the highway were shut down near Gardner Road as crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
