The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident on Sunday and confirmed one person died. The deceased victim has been identified as 83-year-old Lotal Clark Temple.
Around 8:30 a.m., the crash happened on Business 83 west of Bass Boulevard. A white 2006 Honda tri-motorcycle driven by Temple was traveling eastbound, on Business 83. Temple swerved to the right side of the road and he drove onto a business parking lot.
The vehicle continued going in a straight line before crashing into a tree. Lotal was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It remains uncertain whether alcohol or drugs were contributing factors in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
