The Coleman County Sheriff’s Office reported a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 90 on Wednesday. The officials confirmed that one person died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim was identified as 83-year-old Judith Harding.
Around 9:30 p.m., the crash happened when Harding was walking in the centre of US 84 near County Road 108. Local law enforcement had been responding to the area after receiving reports from motorists.
The reports talked about a pedestrian in the roadway who was nearly struck due to darkness. Moore, who was travelling north on US 84, failed to see Harding standing in the roadway and struck her in the northbound lane.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role. There are no other details available at this time.
