According to the Burbank Police Department, a pedestrian accident that occurred in Burbank claimed the life of an 82-year-old woman on Wednesday.
The collision occurred at 9:00 a.m., near West Verdugo Avenue and North Buena Vista Street. A Toyota Tundra truck travelling westbound took a turn and struck the 82-year-old woman walking.
The woman was critically injured and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been disclosed.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated.
