82-Year-Old Felipe Ovalle Cruz Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Laredo (Laredo, TX)

Early Tuesday morning, tragedy struck at the Lincoln Juarez Bridge in Laredo, where an elderly man lost his life in a crash. The motor vehicle accident occurred around 6 a.m. on March 5, 2024, on the U.S. side of the bridge.

According to Laredo Police, the driver of a pickup truck crashed into the guardrails and was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The deceased driver has been identified as Felipe Ovalle Cruz, 82, who was entering the U.S. from Mexico at the time of the fatal crash.

The LPD Crash Team is currently investigating the scene, and while the investigation is ongoing, no closures are expected at the bridge.
