The Glendale Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Monday evening. The accident happened close to 67th Avenue and Rose Lane, North of Bethany Home Rd at around 5 p.m. The collision involved a car and a pedestrian.
According to the police, an 80-year-old woman was hit by a car while jaywalking. After being taken to the hospital, the woman passed away. The identity of the woman is not yet known at this time.
According to police, the driver remained at the scene and wasn’t intoxicated.
Police closed off 67th Avenue between Maryland Avenue and Bethany Home Road while they conducted their investigation. The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials.
