According to the Valdosta Police Department, a motor vehicle crash that occurred in Valdosta claimed the life of an 80-year-old man on Friday.
Approximately at 6:40 a.m., a school bus traveling at South Patterson Street, rammed into a pickup truck that was traveling in the same lane. The driver of the pickup truck, an 80-year-old man, was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
