8-Year-Old Boy Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Sacramento (Sacramento, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a pedestrian accident that claimed the life of an 8-year-old boy in Sacramento on Sunday.

Roughly at 4:35 p.m., a 30-year-old man driving a Ford westbound on Highway 50 east of 65th Street, struck an 8-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl who were standing near the median when trying to avoid colliding into a Toyota. The boy was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
