8-Year-Old Boy Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Peoria (Peoria, AZ)

The Peoria Police Department reported a pedestrian accident in Peoria, Arizona, on February 1. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. near Vistancia Boulevard and El Mirage Road.

Initial reports suggest that an 8-year-old child exited the vehicle while it was still in motion, and was subsequently hit by the vehicle as it traveled down the roadway. The victim was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at a hospital. The identity of the boy, who was a second-grade student at Vistancia Elementary School, remains undisclosed.

No arrests have been made as the investigation continues on this fatal crash. While speed was ruled out, authorities are investigating impairment as a factor. There are no other details available at this time.
