79-Year-Old Maria Slayton Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash In Lynden (Lynden, WA)

The Lynden Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Sunday east of Lynden. Police responded to the accident at the intersection of Trapline and East Badger Roads.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the woman, Maria Slayton, age 79 ran a stop sign and was hit by another vehicle. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she later passed away from her injuries. According to the authorities, the 48-year-old Bellingham man who was operating the second car was unharmed.

The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. Additional details regarding the deadly crash are not available currently.
