A tragic incident occurred in Tyler on Monday morning, resulting in the death of a man who was hit by a vehicle. The Tyler Police Department reported that the crash happened around 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of W. Front St. and S. Peach Ave.
Subsequently, police identified the victim as Evencio Arellano, 79, and notified his next of kin. Arellano was pronounced dead around 8:15 a.m. The circumstances surrounding the crash and the events leading up to it have not been disclosed in detail.
The Tyler Police Department continues to investigate the crash to determine the factors contributing to this tragic loss of life. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
