The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office reported a multi-vehicle accident in Petaluma, California, on February 1. The crash occurred roughly at 12:37 p.m. on Pineview Way, Lakeville Highway.
According to the authorities, 79-year-old Beverly Kleven was driving an SUV north when she was struck by a BMW driven by a 22-year-old man. Kleven was found unresponsive inside the SUV, which had major damage to the driver’s side. The victim was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The identity of the BMW driver remains undisclosed.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
