77-Year-Old Louis Hernandez Jr. Killed In A Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash In Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday in Santa Barbara. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred north of Olive Mill Road, southbound on Highway 101. A 22-year-old driver of a 2019 Toyota Camry struck a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer.

As a result of this, the driver of the Mercury was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The driver of the Mercury was identified as 77-year-old Louis Hernandez Jr.

Three other occupants in the Camry and one person in the Mountaineer sustained injuries due to the accident. The cause of the accident has been named as the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
