76-Year-Old Woman Killed In Pedestrian Accident In Irvine (Irvine, CA)

The Irvine Police Department reported a pedestrian accident on Saturday. 

The accident occurred on East Yale Loop, just before the intersection at Witherspoon at about 6.15 p.m. 

The officials reported that a white Chevrolet Silverado was going southbound when it struck the woman while she was crossing the street. 

Upon the arrival of the paramedics, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified to be 76-year-old. No other details about her identity have been disclosed. 

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the detectives in their investigation. 

The officials reported that neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be a factor in the fatal accident. 

The identity of the driver has not been disclosed.
