A tragic two-vehicle crash in Fresno County on Tuesday claimed the life of a 76-year-old woman, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The multi-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Dickenson Ave. and Barstow Ave.,
An elderly woman was driving on Dickenson Avenue, approaching Barstow Avenue. Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man was traveling on Barstow Avenue, towards Dickenson Avenue. Despite the presence of stop signs on Dickenson Avenue, the woman failed to yield, entering the path of the other vehicle.
The impact resulted in significant damage to both vehicles, with one overturning. The elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized. The fatal crash is currently under investigation by authorities.
