The Houston Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Monday. The accident occurred at 11800 Westheimer Road at around 5:40 a.m.
According to the officials, a pedestrian and a vehicle were involved in a collision. The pedestrian was crossing southbound on Westheimer when he was hit by a car. The vehicle was identified as a brown Toyota Venza.
The pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The officials have confirmed that the driver was not intoxicated at the time of the fatal crash. There are no other details available at this time.
