76-Year-Old Man Killed In A Fatal Pedestrian Crash In Vallejo (Vallejo, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday in Vallejo. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the pedestrian accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the area of Sonoma Boulevard and Carolina Street. The driver of a Ford Fusion was driving at a very high rate of speed. He subsequently lost control of the vehicle and struck several vehicles parked on the curb. A pedestrian was crushed between two parked cars.

He was critically injured and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.

The driver of the vehicle ran from the scene of the wreck. Other information pertaining to the accident remains unknown. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
