76 year-old Ledger Hunt injured after a solo-vehicle crash on GA 24 (Milledgeville, GA)

On early Wednesday morning, 76 year-old Ledger Hunt, of North Carolina, suffered serious injuries following a traffic collision on GA 24.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of GA 24 near mile marker 25 at about 7:50 a.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. The early reports showed that a tractor trailer was heading west on the road when it went off the road, re-entered it and overturned.

On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the driver of the tractor trailer, 76 year-old Ledger Hunt, to Atrium Navicent Macon in serious condition. All lanes of GA 24 were shut down for several hours as crews worked at the scene. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
