According to the Lamesa Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Monday morning in Lamesa.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the pedestrian accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the block of Bryan Ave when a woman was struck by a moving vehicle. The victim, identified as 76-year-old Anita Sanchez, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
Insights pertaining to the description of the vehicle involved are yet to be released to the public.
The crash continues to be investigated by the Lamesa Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety.
