76-year-old Aaron Arlon Lynch succumbs to his injuries after a pedestrian crash in Jacksonville (Jacksonville, TX)

Authorities identified 76-year-old Aaron Arlon Lynch as the man who died of injuries he suffered after being hit by a pickup truck on May 12 in Jacksonville.

The fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place at 1:32 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Jackson Street. According to the investigation reports, the truck was heading northbound on South Jackson. At the same time, Aaron Arlon Lynch, from Jacksonville, was trying to cross South Jackson when he stepped into the path of the pickup and got hit.

He suffered critical injuries, and was first rushed to CHRISTUS Mother Frances Jacksonville, but was quickly flown from Jacksonville to Tyler. Lynch remained in the hospital since that day, where he died of his injuries. No further details were provided.

An investigation continues.
