75-Year-Old Wang Jiuxiang Killed In A Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash In San Mateo County (San Mateo County, CA)

According to the San Mateo Sheriff’s Office, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday in San Mateo County. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident. The collision occurred in the 500 block of Kelly Avenue.

An unlicensed driver struck and killed a man driving a bicycle. The man was identified as 75-year-old Wang Jiuxiang. Jiuxiang was rushed to a local hospital but later pronounced dead.

The driver was identified as 18-year-old Miguel Jose Juarez Perez. Juarez Perez was booked by the Sheriff’s Department on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving without a license.

Other details pertaining to the accident remain unknown. The cause of the wreck is yet to be determined. 

The crash continues to be investigated by the SMSO.
