The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident that killed a 75-year-old man in Novato on Saturday. The accident occurred on Highway 101 in the afternoon.
At around 4:45 p.m., a 75-year-old man was driving his vehicle on Highway 101 when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of his vehicle. He then hit a metal pole and other objects on the road which led to the car toppling down. The man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
