75-year-old Cecile Brown died month after being involved in Grand Rapids pedestrian crash (Grand Rapids, MI)

On Tuesday, 75-year-old Cecile Brown, a school crossing guard, has died of her injuries at the hospital following a crash that happened last month.

The investigation reports showed that Cecile Brown succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday. The incident took place on Sept. 16 while the woman was doing her crossing duties at 36th Street SE and Poinsettia Avenue.

On arrival, medics transported her to a local hospital for what were considered to be minor injuries. Her family informed the officers that her condition deteriorated and she remained in the hospital. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the crash and cooperated with the authorities.

The crash remains under investigation.
