According to the Shafter Police Department, a multi-vehicle crash that took place in Shafter claimed the life of a 74-year-old man on Thursday.
At approximately 6:50 a.m., a multi-vehicle crash involving four vehicles occurred on 7th Zerker Road. The events leading up to the crash have not been disclosed at this time. As a result of this multi-vehicle collision, a 74-year-old man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
