74-year-old William Cundiff killed after a traffic collision in Belfair (Belfair, WA)

Authorities identified 74-year-old William Cundiff, of Belfair, as the man who lost his life following a traffic collision Monday morning in Belfair.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place on State Route 3 south of Belfair. The preliminary reports showed that Cundiff was driving a vehicle when, for unknown reasons, he went through a stop sign and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old teen on the highway.

Cundiff was declared dead at the scene by the officials while the teenager received injuries. The teenager drove himself to a hospital. The roadway was closed down for around 2 hours while crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
