74-year-old man succumbs to his injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

Authorities confirmed that a 74-year-old man died of injuries he suffered following a two-vehicle accident on March 9 in Las Vegas that also killed 74-year-old Connie Sheets.

The fatal car crash took place on a Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Jones Boulevard and Katie Avenue in which a Hyundai Sonata and Chevrolet Cruz were involved. According to the investigation reports, 20-year-old Dillon Dewyer was driving a Chevrolet Cruz at a high rate of speed south on Jones. His car crashed into the Hyundai going north which was making a left turn at the intersection of Katie.

Connie Sheets, who was a passenger in the Hyundai, died as a result of the collision. The driver of the Hyundai, only identified as a 74-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries almost three weeks after the crash. The Clark County Coroner’s office will reveal the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin. No other details are available.

An investigation continues.
