74-Year-Old Man Killed In A Motor vehicle Accident In Constantine Township (Constantine Township, MI)

St. Joseph County Sheriff’s deputies reported a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday.

The accident occurred in the area of North River Road near Quaker Road just after 7 p.m. 

According to the officials, a vehicle was heading east on North River Road when it veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree. The vehicle then burst into flames. 

The deputies were able to rescue a passenger, identified as a 74-year-old man, from the wreckage. Despite administering first aid and CPR, the passenger succumbed to his injuries and died. 

The state of the driver has not been reported at this time. 

The identities of both the driver and the passenger have not been disclosed pending notification of the family. 

The fatal accident is still being investigated.
