74-Year-Old Man Died In A Motor Vehicle Crash Near Constantine (Constantine Township, MI)

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash happened on North River Road near Quaker Road in Constantine Township around 7 p.m. 

According to the authorities, a vehicle was driving eastbound when it traveled off the road and struck a tree. The vehicle then engulfed in flames, trapping a 74-year-old male passenger inside. 

The man was extracted from the car but was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No further details regarding the crash are currently available. 

The crash is being investigated. It is unclear what caused the crash and if alcohol was a factor.
