74-Year-Old Lucy Geishaker Died In A Multi-Vehicle Crash In Lufkin (Lufkin, TX)

According to the police, a multi-vehicle collision was reported on Thursday afternoon. 

Officials reported that 74-year-old Lucy Geishaker was pronounced dead at the hospital following the crash. 

The officials stated that Lucy was a passenger in a 1996 Saturn sedan driven by 40-year-old Hunter Lackey. 

The crash happened on Atkinson Drive when Hunter ran a red light at the North Timberland Drive intersection and collided with a 2022 Kia Sorento.

The driver of the Kia and Lucy were rushed to the hospital where Lucy died. The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the crash. 

Lackey reported to the police that he had faulty brakes which led to the collision. 

Police reported that Lackey was not injured. 

Officials have cited Lackey for not having insurance and disregarding a traffic control device.
