74-Year-Old James Hall Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Montague County (Montague County, TX)

A tragic one-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Bowie man in Montague County on Tuesday. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported the motor vehicle accident occurred around 3 p.m. on U.S. Highway 81 north of Ringgold.

According to DPS, 63-year-old Ronald Dale Williams was driving a 2005 Ford northbound when the vehicle veered into the wrong lane, then overcorrected, crashing through a barbed wire fence and rolling onto its side.

Sadly, Williams’ passenger, 74-year-old James Hall of Bowie, was fatally injured in the crash. Williams himself sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was transported to Nocona General Hospital for treatment. The DPS continues its investigation into the circumstances of the fatal crash.
