According to the California Highway Patrol, a 73-year-old woman was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Tulare County.
On the intersection of Enterprise Street, and Tulare Avenue, West of Tulare, the motor vehicle accident took place. Roughly at 7:49 a.m., a 73-year-old woman driving a Saturn eastbound when attempting to cross the intersection crashed into a jeep that was travelling in the same lane.
The 73-year-old woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. Alcohol or drugs seemed to have played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated.
