The Garden Grove Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday evening. According to Garden Grove police officer John Yergler, the accident happened on the 12100 block of Lewis St at around 5:54 p.m.
The collision involved eight vehicles. The events leading up to the collision are not yet known at this time.
A pedestrian’s death was confirmed on the spot. He has simply been identified as a 73-year-old man from Winchester. Other details regarding his identity have not been made public yet.
Although the fatal crash investigation is ongoing, officers said it did not appear that either alcohol or drugs were a factor involved in the collision. No additional information about the deadly crash has been disclosed at this time.
