The San Jose Police Department reported a pedestrian accident that killed a 73-year-old man in San Jose on Friday. The accident occurred at around 5:05 p.m. 

A red 2009 Toyota Sedan was travelling on Almaden Expressway South of Camden Avenue when it struck Krishnan. Krishnan was critically injured and was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The officials later identified the victim as Padmanabham Krishnan. 

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
