Louisiana State Police Troop F reported a two-vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash happened on Louisiana Highway 151 at Weems Road in Ouachita Parish on Monday at 4:00 p.m.
72-year-old Beverly A. Justice was identified as the victim.
The preliminary investigation into the crash reveals a 2005 Buick Terraza, driven by Michael A. Robins, 58, of West Monroe, exited the land on Louisiana Highway 151 and struck a Ford F-150.
Justice suffered fatal injuries from the collision and died at the scene. Robbins was taken to a local hospital for his severe injuries.
The Ford F-150 driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital.
It is unclear if alcohol or drugs were a suspected factor in the crash. However, routine toxicology samples were obtained for further investigations. The wreck remains under investigation.
