A 71-year-old woman, Plautila Aguirre, lost her life when a maroon Buick LeSabre crashed into her Garland apartment. The motor vehicle accident occurred around 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday.
The driver of the Buick, traveling east on Fieldcrest near Jupiter Road, is believed to have had a medical episode. The car collided with a Nissan Altima before crashing into the apartment complex on N. Jupiter Road, striking Aguirre.
She was rushed to the hospital, but succumbed to her injuries. The Buick driver, who suffered minor injuries, has been released from the hospital and is cooperating with the investigation. The Garland Police have said they will not charge anyone with the accident. Further investigations are ongoing into this fatal crash.
