According to the Louisiana State Police, a motor vehicle crash that took place in Terrebonne Parish killed a 71-year-old on Wednesday. The victim of the crash was identified as Josephine Deion.
At around 6:00 p.m., Deion, driving her vehicle between Louisiana Highway 660 and Highway 316, collided head-on with a Toyota that was traveling westbound. Josephine Deion was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene, said the authorities.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
