On Thursday night, 71-year-old Dennis V Paola, a Vancouver man, lost his life following a single-vehicle accident on a freeway off-ramp in Salmon Creek.
As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at 9:23 p.m. on the ramp from northbound Interstate 205 to Northeast 134th Street in Salmon Creek. The preliminary investigation showed that Dennis V Paola was driving north on the ramp when his 2012 Toyota Camry drifted off the roadway and hit a traffic signal pole at the southwest corner of the ramp’s intersection with Northeast 134th Street.
Paola was reportedly wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. He suffered major injuries and was declared deceased at the scene by the officials.
An investigation is continuing.
