70-Year-Old Person Killed In A Bicycle Accident In Sacramento (Sacramento, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a bicycle accident that took place in Sacramento on March 18. The crash occurred near Ophir Elementary School just before 11 a.m. along Lozano Road, north of Chili Hill Road in the Ophir area.

According to the authorities, the 70-year-old bicyclist was struck by a truck. Details regarding the circumstances leading to the collision are still under investigation by CHP. The victim was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased remains undisclosed.

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. Following the incident, Ophir Elementary was placed on lockdown as law enforcement officers conducted their investigation at the scene.
